For auto repair, dealerships, glass, and maintenance

The bay is full. The next customer still gets booked.

Keep answering your own number. When a call rings out, or comes in after hours, Right On Call answers as your shop, captures the year, make, model, and issue, books a real opening, or texts urgent calls to your on-call phone.

Auto shops lose the call while the car is on the lift

A missed call at an auto shop is usually a new customer who wants a quote or an appointment, a current customer asking about a car that is already in, or an urgent issue like a cracked windshield or a car that won’t start. When the tech is under the hood or the service advisor is with a customer, those calls go to voicemail. Right On Call picks them up.

How it works

What happens to a call you could not take

01

You get the first rings

The number on your sign, Google listing, and truck stays yours. If you are free, you answer. What rings out, and anything after hours, forwards to the receptionist.

02

It captures the vehicle and the issue

Year, make, model, and what is wrong, so the tech knows before the car arrives.

03

It sorts urgent from routine

A car that won’t start or a cracked windshield goes to your on-call phone by text. Routine service books against a real opening.

04

It ends booked or on your phone

Routine work goes onto an opening your calendar just returned. Urgent calls go to your on-call phone with the name, number, vehicle, and issue.

What's included

  • Books service appointments against your live calendar
  • Captures vehicle year, make, model, and the issue
  • Texts urgent calls (won’t start, cracked glass, breakdown) to your on-call
  • Takes quote requests and status questions and texts them to your team to call back

Pricing is the same across every industry we serve. See pricing.

What it won't do

  • Diagnose the fault or quote a repair price over the phone.
  • Promise a specific technician or a same-day slot the calendar did not return.
  • Access vehicle history or service records.
  • Book work outside the services you configured.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to stop answering my own phone?

No. Most shops keep answering and have the carrier forward only what rings out, plus everything after hours. The number on your sign and listings stays the same.

What kinds of auto businesses is this for?

Independent mechanics and repair shops, dealership service departments, auto glass shops, oil change and quick lube, and similar vehicle service businesses.

Will it work with my shop management system?

Calendar booking is the starting point. No auto shop system has an adapter yet. Any you need would be scoped during setup, and nothing is promised until it is built.

What does my on-call tech get?

A text with the caller’s name, number, vehicle details, and what is wrong. A booked call sends the same summary with the time.

Can I get started this week?

Yes. Setup is done-for-you. Once you reach out we can have a working version on a private line within a few days, then tune it on your real calls.
