For US shops

The calls your shop misses, answered and booked.

Right On Call is an AI receptionist for home-service shops: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and property maintenance. You keep answering first. When the phone rings out, it picks up, triages the call for your trade, and books it into Jobber or your calendar. Built in Ontario, priced in US dollars for US shops.

What it does on the call

  • Answers as your shop when you can’t get to the phone: on a job, after hours, on the weekend.
  • Triage written for your trade. A no-heat or no-cooling call is urgent; a tune-up isn’t. Gas, smoke, or sparks get a bounded safety script, and the call goes to your team.
  • Checks the ZIP code against the area you serve. An out-of-area booking is refused in code, not left to the prompt.
  • Books a real open time from your live Cal.com or Calendly calendar, or creates the client and the job in Jobber. It can’t offer a time the calendar didn’t return.
  • Won’t diagnose a fault, quote a repair price, or cancel an existing appointment on its own.
  • Says it is an AI assistant whenever a caller asks.

Pricing in US dollars

Essential

$150 USD a month

  • 200 answered minutes included
  • $0.50 USD a minute after that, billed to the second
  • $500 USD setup once, no term

Jobber connect, live calendar booking, triage, and a script written for your shop.

Managed

$349 USD a month

  • 500 answered minutes included
  • $0.45 USD a minute after that, billed to the second
  • $999 USD setup once, no term

Calls land as jobs in ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro (one system, built during setup), plus roster-aware dispatch and one extra language trained for you.

Prices in US dollars, before any applicable sales tax. Going over your minutes never moves you to a bigger plan. The pricing page has what each tier doesn't include.

Keep the number you advertise

Every plan includes a US number on Twilio. Set forward-on-no-answer on your cell line to it and the rings you miss land on the receptionist; you still pick up first. The ring count is your carrier's no-answer timer. Or publish the included number, or port yours to it. We place a live test call on your setup before it takes customer calls.

Verizon

Turn it on
Dial *71 and the number. Forwards when you are busy or don’t answer after three or four rings. *72 forwards every call.
Turn it off
Dial *73, or turn it off in My Verizon.

Verizon’s own guide says there is no monthly fee for call forwarding on current plans (some retired plans charge one), that forwarded calls still use airtime, and that it can’t forward to a number outside the US. We give you a US number, so the forward stays domestic.

AT&T

Turn it on
Most guides give **61* then the number then # for no-answer forwarding. AT&T itself points wireless customers to the phone’s call-forwarding settings.
Turn it off
Most guides give ##61#.

We found no AT&T page that lists the no-answer code or a fee for it. Guides note that AT&T lines differ and that some need conditional forwarding switched on by AT&T first. If the code fails, call AT&T and ask for conditional call forwarding.

T-Mobile

Turn it on
Dial **61* then the number then #. Guides report you can set the ring delay before it forwards, from 5 to 30 seconds.
Turn it off
Dial ##61#. *#61# shows whether it is on.

The codes are consistent across guides, and guides say T-Mobile has you set them from the phone’s dialer, not the website or app. We found no T-Mobile page stating a fee. Metro by T-Mobile uses different steps.

Carrier pages read October 28, 2026. Codes and fees change and differ by plan and by prepaid brand, so confirm on your account before go-live. Forward-on-no-answer is not the same feature as forward-when-unreachable.

Recording and consent

About a dozen states, including California, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Washington, require everyone on a call to consent to recording. The agent speaks a recording notice at the start of the call when one is configured, and we configure one on every US line. This is not legal advice: have your counsel check the rules for every state you take calls from.

What is different for a US shop

Read these before you sign. They are limits, stated as plainly as the features.

  • Texts to US phones need A2P 10DLC registration before carriers deliver them. We file it during setup; carriers approve it, usually in days but sometimes weeks, and we don’t control the timing. Until it is approved, no text reaches a US phone: not the caller’s confirmation, and not the summary to you. Calls are still answered, booked, and logged in your dashboard.
  • English and French are tuned and tested on the phone. Spanish can be trained for your line on request and tested with a native Spanish speaker before it answers a real call, but we don’t call it tuned and tested until that has been done.
  • Not a HIPAA product. We don’t take US medical or dental practices.
  • We have no US office. The team is in London, Ontario, on Eastern time.
  • Several of our vendors (Twilio, Vapi, Anthropic, Supabase, Render) process data in the United States. The security page lists each one and its region.

Questions from US shops

Does Right On Call work for businesses in the United States?

Yes. The receptionist checks US ZIP codes, books in your time zone, and connects to Jobber, Cal.com, or Calendly the same way it does in Canada. You get a US number, billing is in US dollars, and Essential is $150 USD a month for 200 minutes with $500 USD setup once. Before you sign, read the limits on this page, especially the one on texting.

Can I keep my Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile number?

Yes. Set forward-on-no-answer on your line to the US number included in the plan. You answer first when you can; the rings you miss go to the receptionist. You can also publish the included number, or port your number to it.

Do US callers get a confirmation text?

Once your A2P 10DLC registration is approved. US carriers require it before they deliver texts from a business number, and until it is approved no text reaches a US phone, including the job summary to you. We file it during setup. Calls are answered, booked, and logged in your dashboard either way.

Does it speak Spanish?

Not yet as a tuned and tested language. English and French are live on every call, and the agent answers in the caller’s language. Spanish can be trained for your line on request: we write the script and test it with a native Spanish speaker before it answers a real call. A language beyond English and French is an add-on, and we won’t call Spanish tuned and tested until the testing is done.

Is call recording legal in my state?

About a dozen states, including California, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Washington, require everyone on a call to consent to recording. The agent speaks a recording notice at the start of the call when one is configured, and we configure one on every US line. This is not legal advice: have your counsel check the rules for every state you take calls from.
