Lead sources

Live today

The Call button on Yelp shouldn’t end in voicemail.

A Yelp visitor who taps Call has already picked you over the next listing. If nobody answers, the next listing is one tap away. Right On Call answers the number on your Yelp page the same way it answers every other line you publish.

How the connection actually works

What actually happens

The caller taps Call on your Yelp page and your public number rings. If you don’t pick up, the call goes to the receptionist, who greets in your shop name, takes the appliance or system details, checks the postal code, and books a real slot or texts your on-call number.

What we don’t touch

Yelp messages, quote requests, reviews, and ad settings stay in Yelp. There is no Yelp adapter in the product, and nothing is scraped or polled. A lead that reached you as a Yelp message is still your office’s to answer.

What the shop gets

A call record in the dashboard with the transcript, the details captured, and the outcome. If you have connected Jobber or a calendar, the booking lands there too. The record does not say the caller came from Yelp unless you give Yelp its own tracking number.

Daytime and after hours

During the day

Keep your own phone first in line and you answer what you can. Calls you miss go to the receptionist, so a busy afternoon doesn’t cost you the Yelp visitor.

After hours

The receptionist answers at any hour you have scheduled. Emergency calls follow the bounded safety script and text your on-call number. Routine calls book the next real window.

What setup looks like

Nothing is connected inside Yelp. Setup is the same phone change as any other listing.

  1. Keep the number on your Yelp page

The same public number you use everywhere else is the easiest option.

  2. Forward or publish

Forward missed calls to the Twilio number included in your plan, publish that number on Yelp, or port.

  3. Optional: a Yelp-only number

If you want Yelp calls separated in the call log, ask for a second number during setup.

Limits and edge cases

  • Calls only. A Yelp message never reaches the receptionist.
  • If Yelp substitutes its own tracking number on your page, forward that number as well, or the calls will not reach us.
  • Right On Call does not know a caller came from Yelp unless that call arrived on a number set aside for Yelp.

This is for

  • Shops that get a steady trickle of Yelp calls and lose some of them to a busy line.
  • Owners who want one answer path for Yelp, Google, HomeStars, and the truck.

This isn't

  • Shops whose Yelp leads all arrive as written requests in the Yelp inbox.

What we won't claim

  • Read, answer, or archive your Yelp inbox.
  • Respond to Yelp reviews or request them through Yelp.
  • Change your Yelp Ads budget, categories, or hours.

Yelp questions

Do you reply to Yelp messages?

No. The receptionist answers phone calls. Yelp messages stay in Yelp for your office.

Does Yelp need to approve anything?

No. We don’t connect to Yelp. Your Yelp page already shows a phone number, and we answer it.

Can I tell which calls came from Yelp?

Only if Yelp calls arrive on a number of their own. Otherwise they look like any other call to your public number.
